11:30am-from France to Florida in only minutes. What a world. 96.5 is back on with new software and now we wait to see if it’s holds up and actually does it’s job. Please let me know if anything goes awry on your side. Thanks, ~laz e: email@example.com
10:45am-I’m less than thrilled to report that our Madras transmitter has a software failure acting as I write and the factory is hopefully scurrying around in their fumbly French way looking for the updated version.
So, 96.5 is silent for at least a few hours while we wait to fix. Par le voux? Oui?
We are happy to report that we believe most of the ghosts have been drummed out of our machines on 96.5 Madras facility. Thanks to all the helpers who joined the fight.
KJIV is now at full power and should be soundin’ better ‘n ever.

This non-commercial radio deal is not all it’s cracked up to be. We’ve been swirling around this vortex for years now and NOT SUNK YET! Thanks almost entirely to listeners like you. THANK YOU!
Please pass the word lest our friend “Toxic Ricky” shows up in your hot tub~
The Quebe Sisters (pronounced: kway-bee) return to Central Oregon’s Tower Theatre this Sunday (March 10) for one show only. We’ve been playin’ a cut of their’s with Willie Nelson for awhile now but this return date really cranked our necks towards their triple-fiddle front mixed with Andrews Sisters-like vocal harmonies. A certifiable Jive Cool act playing locally in Bend not to be missed. Ticket info HERE—be sure and tell ’em you heard about it on the Jive.
Next up at the Tower, another favorite sister of Folk-Blues Jive, RUTHIE FOSTER March 17th. Saint Paddy’s Day with Ruthie! Ticket info HERE.
Now get out there and support LIVE LOCAL MUSIC!
My Uncle Remus was once known as the guy who could sell ice to Eskimos. In reality, he ate a lot of Eskimo pies and drank a lot of beer, ‘tho not at the same time, and never set foot in Alaska. It was Aunt Harriet that could steer local businesses to advertise on our radio station, god rest her sweet soul. Local business support is critical to our sustainability.
If you have (or know of…) a business that would like to get it’s message into the ears of Jivers, please contact me at email@example.com
